Pacific Village
  • Location: Midway District, San Diego, CA (3737–3747 Midway Drive)
  • Client type San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC)
  • Completion Time: 2025

As general contractor for the San Diego Housing Commission, we transformed a former Midway District motel into Pacific Village — 62 furnished studio apartments for San Diegans exiting homelessness, including veterans and transition-age youth. Over more than a year of construction, we installed kitchenettes in every unit, added fire sprinkler and alarm systems, replaced the roof and plumbing fixtures, installed rooftop solar with battery storage, and completed accessibility, security, and life-safety upgrades throughout. The $13M+ rehabilitation, funded in part by California's Homekey program, opened in fall 2025 to praise from Mayor Todd Gloria and city, county, and state officials.

  • Completion Time: 2025

As general contractor for the San Diego Housing Commission, we converted a former extended-stay hotel in Mission Valley into Presidio Palms — 161 affordable apartments for previously unhoused San Diegans. On an accelerated schedule of roughly 100 days of primary construction, we delivered new HVAC, solar, fire sprinklers, lighting, flooring, doors, paint, life-safety and security upgrades, ADA accessibility improvements, and a new community room. Residents moved in less than seven months after construction began. The $10M+ project, funded in part by California's Homekey program, drew public praise from Mayor Todd Gloria and city, county, state, and federal officials at its June 2025 grand opening.
